Wildlife Photography - Michael Nichols

Wildlife Photography

Wildlife photography documents a huge variety of animals in their natural habitats. This form of photography is rather more challenging as a lot of the best quality photographs produced are just by chance (being in the right place at the right time). Wildlife photography can act as documenting the world as well, it gives people a small insight into the world of animals. It is scientific as well as artistic.
Wildlife photography can be taken from anywhere and at anytime. We our surrounded by wildlife and it is important to document it all as many species are being extinct in today's modern world.

Michael 'Nick' Nichols
A prime example of a wildlife photographer is Michael 'Nick' Nichols from the USA who was a grand title winner at the Wildlife photography awards 2014.  He is a National Geographic Wildlife photographer, this means his photographs feature in the national geographic magazine and at events which the national geographic hold.
His works include;

I think that Michael Nichols photos are incredible! They all tell a story of their own. You get to see into the world of animals and all their activities through just a single simple image. All of his images show a wide range of different cultures and traditions. Ranging from the Brazilian Amazon to the Congo to incredible caves and the Grand Canyon. Nichols is a truly passionate photographer, you can see that he is wanting to capture the best image that he possibly can to show the world everything that he has witnessed.
