The widely common point and shoot camera can also be know as the compact camera. This camera is a rather more simplistic operated camera compared to the wide variety of fancy photography cameras. It has a lot of basic features, although the new models seem to be adding more and more features. The Point and shoot can be used for all photographers that want something that is easy to use and carry around. It is probably the most common camera used today for capturing images from social events, holidays, family photos etc.

The point and shoot camera is almost everyone's first camera. It is the basic first camera for children especially and basically it does the job of a camera. The image that is seen through the viewfinder of the camera is usually the image which is captured. But it cannot be denied that point and shoots don't take great photographs. They take just as good photographs as any other camera but it just means the photographer has less control over what the camera is doing.

Personally, I think that the point and shoot camera is a good basic camera that everyone should have to begin with. For me it is a beginners camera. You can take some amazing photographs don't get me wrong. However, if you are wanting to become a professional photographer then this camera should be the first of many! The camera is easily affordable and I think is a good starting point for anybody who is interested in becoming a professional photographer or even just anyone who is interested at doing photographer as a hobby.
